Philip Kingsley, born in London’s East End in 1930, became one of the world’s leading hair and scalp care experts. His passion for hair began in his uncle’s hairdressing salon, where he started assisting at 16. Even then, he recognized hair’s extensive psychological significance for men and women. In 1968 he opened a hair care clinic in Mayfair, London, and in 1977 a branch on Fifth Avenue in New York. Starting with a basic range of 5 products, it now offers over 50 customized formulations.
