The pharmacist and chemist Théophile Le Clerc was a pioneer of make-up. In 1881, in Paris, he developed the first dermophilic rice powder with a smooth, fine texture that improved the complexion and was the opposite of the usual products on the market at the time. The special manufacturing process – a closely guarded secret – made it possible to sterilize the powder. An impetus and a bestseller to this day!
